Got a Box of FREE Parts Reels from Carl at the Recent NFLCC MEET in Temple and Low and Behold this Bugger was in the Bunch
It was pretty Crusty and had paint spot all over it but it struck my eye and did a few double takes to see it WAS A 302.
YEPPER NOT 202 but 302 .
More Later
Here is the way I got it and like I said I did a double take as I didn't believe it said 303 ....lol
I thought it had been damaged with a Screw Driver plus I No See Tooo Goode too !

Could not turn it as the old Common Hardened Grease problem was in it . So I tore into it Cleaned the old Grease out ,polished all the lil Whirly Gigs and put it back together .
Internals are all 202 and I expect was made after Brunswick and before who the hell owns Zebco since . There are NO MARKINGS ANYWHERE I can see other than ZEBCO 302 on top of Cover and Made in USA below the Button.
Has the Anti Reverse Mechanism on the Pinion Gear as opposed to behind the Main Gear as they alll do now .
Three Rivets holding the Metal Foot on , Multi Teeth on the Spinner and dat's it!
Here is a Pic of it with all the Paint and Smudge Removed (gonna polish it up more before I store it )
When I first noticed it was a 302 Itook it back to Carl's Room and asked him if he knew what he had given me along with the other Reels and Parts and I figgered it was quite RARE to see if he had made a BOO BOO and he said Keep It and he was glad I got it and would redo it .
Thanks Agin Carl . You are the Reason that Makes Collecting Reels such a Good thing.
