Got this Penn 209 with Box Tool ,Grease Tube ,Papers and Rod Clamp Kit .
It looks like Hell and ;this was probably stored near the Ocean as it has all the signs of it .
It would barely turn at all so I opened it up to see what gives and to my surprise I don't think it was ever used as all the Factory lube had hardened to the point the internal level wind gears were almost frozen causing all the hard to turn probs . The drags look as if they had never turned against each other and the bottom one under the sleeve was still white .

The Corrosion evident on all parts of this Reel make it look like a Goner

Took some time to get the level wind mechanism out of the bearing and this was why the Reel was so hard to turn as the Factory Lube had hardened .
Cleaned and polish things up
