Here is an image I put together showing as many as the trade reel logo's as I could find. If i'm missing any, please post below!

I picked up what I believe to be a Penn Trade Reel "Kingfisher" Sold at Edward Tyron Co. in 1933. I don't have any documents but I'm sure a 1933 or 34 Catalog might help.

I've seen the molds for this Kingfisher Logo next to a Schultz Fire Island, Coronado, Newport, Senator, and many others. The original dye plugs when I was buying and researching Penn in 2007/2009. I had a Kingfisher reel back then but it didn't have the (K) on the inside of the plate. That same (K) can be found on many 1933 reels including the Seahawk and Longbeach. I was told this refers to Kuhn? Here is all the Pictures of the Kingfisher and other examples of the Seahawk, the Long Beach, and the Otto Henze patent.

This is the Patent for Godshalk of Ocean City Mfg. Co. - Take a look at these guts, look familiar?
They sure did work around everyones improvements and patents.

I am posting this message for vintage reel collector and past reel repairman Bill Bird of Grandy, NC. Bill has a very large inventory of new reel parts and parts reels which he would like to sell as a single lot. New reel parts are for freshwater and saltwater reels from 1960's to 2008 from makers including but not limited to Pflueger, South Bend, Shakespeare, Penn, Shimano, and Ocean City. This is not a file cabinet of parts, but enough to fill a small trailer.

An old reel collector but not as old as Wompus Cat

I just got 2 More and one with the Number on it of the Year I graduated High School ......lol

Was surfing the Book of Face and came across this Argus No. 575 Reel.

Notified the seller I would take it and 40 minutes later I was holding it. Seller took very accurate photos of everything but the missing seat...

Seeing how I've never heard of the Argus Reel Company I didn't let on that I really wanted it and negotiated the purchase price down to $20.00. So I'm happy again. 

Overall the reel was FLITHY! It turns, the drag works, clicker is good, excentric is a bit sticky, and there is zero free spool. Nothing a good cleaning won't take care of.

Juding by the seat mount the seat was riveted to the mount and appears to be one piece (albeit two riveted sections?).

Does anyone have a seat they are willing to sell me or maybe a parts reel? I went to Flea-Bay and with the exception of another model of baitcaster the only Argus reels they currently have are fly reels.

If anyone has a manual link I'd sure appreciate one, Google let me down.
