Have just LARNED bout the 202 myself in a Batch I was going through to give to kids .
Thought it was just a fluke but when I tore into it it WAS early 4 prong thick Heavy Base.
 Actually had Ribs Molded into it for Reinforcement . and NO indentation for the  A/R to engage but was Smooth round Will post pictures soon ..

                  UPDATE ON THESE REELS
 Going to have to put these in the CRAP REEL DEPARTMENT .
They are PURDY but not usable as a Casting Reel like the old ones . I recently put one on a Rod to just see how they worked an well not too Good as you can not hold the line when pushing the button and it goes Haywire when you attempt to cast. I of course tore in to it to see  why and discovered  the reason . Will post in the CRAP REEL DEPT soon with my findings.
 GREAT REEL TO STORE on THE WALL but not worth a CRAP TO CAST .
REALLY DISAPPOINTED !!!!

Dick passed away last year and will be SORELY MISSED BY ANYONE THAT EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING HIM OR TALKING ON THE PHONE.


   I personally never met him but had many hours of phone conversations with him over the last 10 years.

Dick Braun, known as "That Zebco Guy," was a legendary collector, historian, and storyteller for Zebco fishing reels, celebrated for his vast knowledge and passion for vintage models, who sadly passed away in late 2024, leaving a significant void in the reel collecting community and was known for his extensive personal collection, unique finds, and the famous embroidered patch he wore.

 A new to this site Member is going to start posting items from Dick's Collection here for sale and proceeds are going to Dick's Wife .
