A lot of people are under the impression that Penn Reels were made before Ocean City however nothing could be further from the Truth as the fellow that started Penn actually worked for OCEAN CITY quite some time before opening his knock off reel company and it is obvious many PENN products bare similarities to OCEAN CITY's .I am not inferring PENN copied or stole anything just noting the similarities is all !!!!
OCEAN CITY started making Reels in 1922
