Reel says it is a SIMPLICITY but in Fact it is a pain in the ASS to put together and made for someone with 3 0r four hands to properly cast .....lol


This lil Jewell has some interesting Features like a Top Mounted Spool Tensioner / Anti- Backlash Button which engages an internal Brake Shoe against the outside edge of the Solid Aluminum Spool which is illustrated below  .
Free Spool can be engaged by  pulling out the  Knurled  Nut in the center of the Handle  .
The Main Housing is made from a solid piece of Aluminum including the Cross Bars.
It has 2  Big ol Ball Bearings which set in each end of the Reel .
You can cast it with or without engaging Free Spool like the old Knuckle Busters.
It has a sort of Clicker on the Left side that is pretty Cumbersome and is Spring Loaded and allows a Ball to engage in several rounded spots inside the Spool by turning the outer knob .
 Has NO Anti -Reverse

wow. That looks different. Where are the plastic pieces? What year was this made? I wish we had all metal reels made today, especially smaller bait casters.

What year was this made?

I figure in the late 40's or early 50's after the war. Shops had Boo Coo Aluminum and bearings to mess with .
Lot of start up  reel companies in that Time .
