Hello!
The 20th Anniversary of the Region 8 NFLCC Temple, Texas show is fast approaching! Currently, the hotel is FULL! So if you are needing a room, contact the hotel and myself (I will add you to my list).
For those that currently have rooms booked, please make sure you are up to date with your club dues or let me know if you plan on joining/renewing memberships at the show. Also, if you are able to pre-register, please do so or let me know how many tables/display space/guests you will have so we can prepare your show badges and auction bidder cards for you and have an approximate headcount. The hosts put a lot of effort into this show each year to make it as efficient as possible for all attendees and the big part of that begins with pre-registering by you.
Here’s a quick rundown on what the 20th anniversary show will consist of:
⁃ Silent Survivorship Auction x2! Will have 2 separate ones!
⁃ Live Auction of some of the best quality items we have received to date! I will have some previews of them on the Facebook event page for the show.
⁃ RAFFLE!!! I am currently working on assembling items for the show. If you have an idea on an item or a donation, please let me know as I would like to make this year’s EXTRA special being it’s the 20th Anniversary!
⁃ Thanks again to another generous donor, don’t make plans for dinner Friday night, it’s COVERED!!!
⁃ We will also be selling tickets for a separate raffle that will enter you into a drawing at the 2025 Nationals for a LIFETIME membership (do not have to be present to win).
⁃ Display Contest! Being the 20th Anniversary, I ask you to break out the “Best of the Best” this year. Prizes will be awarded as well as awards for the Top 3!
⁃ Lastly, we will have Club Shop items PLUS….. some special 20th Anniversary wearables for sale that will be first come, first serve! *if you are a size XXL or larger, please message me ASAP and let me know and I will accommodate!*
I am looking forward to what already appears to be a great turn out with some great members/collectors and most importantly, friends! With the hotel being booked up earlier and earlier each year, I would like to encourage and address something. If you want to be guaranteed a room for the next show, book it when you check out (our show is ALWAYS, the last weekend in April). Please follow up with your reservation and check at least 4 months prior to the event with the hotel confirming. I know it can be frustrating having a hotel with limited rooms but please understand that it WILL sell out each year and faster than the year before. This year, we have had an increase in people booking multiple rooms under their name. Please note, in order for you to receive the discounted room rates, you must be an NFLCC member. This also applies to anyone who is not a spouse/child of yours that will be occupying those rooms. If you have booked a room under your name for someone else that is a collector, they will need to be an NFLCC member in order for you to receive the discounted rate. If they choose not to join the NFLCC & register for the show, the hotel will be obligated to charge you the regular rate and you will need to pay for each of them as your “guest”. Mike, the hotel owner, has always been gracious about the discounts and supports our show in many ways and we certainly do not want to take advantage of his generosity. If you have a room booked for someone else please contact me and let me know the arrangements so we can handle everything prior to the show and accommodate your guests. I will even go out of my way and offer to pay for your guest to join the NFLCC if they have not been an active member in over 2 years! I thank you all for supporting this sanctioned show so please do the same for the club that allows us to host it for you! If you need to cancel your reservation, please let me know ASAP as I have several people already on the waiting list.
