Fishing at Iowa Lake using vintage reels
« on: December 11, 2021, 08:41:27 PM »
Nice to see there's a spot to point folks to some of the video content I made this year. A couple of my brothers were on a nostalgia kick this year using fishing rods and reels from when we were kids back in the 1960s. I made a video of us on a foray to Iowa Lake to catch some bullheads in May. I had rods that had the following vintage reels: Zebco 202, Johnson Century, Shakespeare 1755, Zebco 33, Pflueger Akron, Shakespeare Marhoff. We didn't use them all, but the ones we used reminded us of how it was fishing with our parent's equipment over the years. We wished Dad and our uncles were still alive to take it all in as this is the way it was back when they took us fishing back in the 1960s. See my video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2HvwKBccHY
